Coupling a tubular of plastic with paper, is the key concept of realization of our products For this reason Linea Big is able to set new standards of hygiene of the product. The procedures of hygiene control of the production site and the production process do the rest, carrying on the deli counters, packages completely safe in every respect.
REDUCTION OF HYGIENIC RISKS DURING THE ADMINISTRATION TO CONSUMER
NEW STANDARD COMPARED TO TRADITIONAL PACKAGING
The EC Regulation 852/2004 establishes the obligation for the store to identify through appropriate procedures for risk analysis (Hazard Analysis), the critical control points in its process for handling food.
Consequently it sets for them, depending on their severity, appropriate preventive measures and/or monitoring procedures to minimize hygienic risk from direct contamination (directly on the food) or "cross" (cross-contamination), that is induced by contaminated foods coming into contact with uncontaminated items.
The hygienic safety of package is a critical control point from the hygienic point of view, since the manipulation of the operator and the surface of paper can be sources of contamination.
Products of Linea Big are manufactured under checked hygienic conditions and, if they are properly used, are also a good preventive measure to minimize the risk of cross-contamination due to manipulation by operators.
REDUCTION OF ENDOGENOUS CONTAMINATION
TO PRODUCTION PROCESS
GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICE AND LINEA BIG SYSTEM
Even with extreme care during production, in a traditional packaging (two sides) both sides are inevitably at risk of environmental contamination, and inevitably, a side is in contact with each other, since the two faces are superimposed during each step of processing and use (think rolls or reams of paper inside the boxes).

This effect (clearly shown in the illustration), is undoubtedly a striking risk of hygienical contamination, particularly in relation to potential chemical contaminations that are generated by contact between the ink printed on sheet and the inside of the paper
The most paradoxical aspect is that this risk has been totally ignored for years by law.
Only after the sensational case of contamination Tetrapack, the European Community has issued a specific regulation on the so-called "good manufacturing practice" for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, realizing finally the important role that packaging have in the control of the safety for human health in the food chain.
The EC Regulation 2023/2006 (published on 22/12/2006 and in force since August 1, 2008, without the need for transposition in all European Union countries), defines the common rules for the implementation of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), rules to be observed by all operators involved in production processing and distribution of materials and objects (whatever they are) intended to come into contact with food, to ensure constantly the compliance and safety of finished products.
In summary, GMP is the set of rules that the company defines and implements to ensure that products are consistently in conformity to applicable legislation and do not constitute a danger to human health during their use.
On a specific annex are detailed "good manufacturing practices" for the special case of the application of printing ink (apparently as a result of case-ITX Tetrapack). It is specified unequivocally the prohibition on direct contact between the printed surfaces and the food, but also and especially the prohibition on transfer of the inks printed on the outer side (not intended for food contact) with the inner side, caused by set-off during the stacking (high pile or ream of finished product) and winding in reel.
Products of Linea Big, thus anticipating the latest European regulations, ensure that the outer layer of the package never comes into contact with the inner surface for food.
Being in fact composed by the combination of a paper surface with a tubular film (never opened during the production cycle), our products have not two but four faces, two of which (the inside of the tubolar) guarantee the sterility of the surface into contact with food, preserving it from any nvironmental contamination and from contact with the ink printed on the paper, both during the production cycle and during the deposition inside box.

The outer sides of the envelope mechanically protect the inside of the wrapper, from contamination by set-off, and overall, from environmental contamination in the site of production (as dusts, rollers and belts for passage of material, etc. .)
HACCP AND GOOD MANIFACTURING PRACTICE
SAFE PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED IN A CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT
Besides providing products internally absolutely safe, Big Paper Italia voluntarily implements procedures for hygienical risk analysis in its production site applying appropriate preventive measures as directed by EC Reg 2023/2006 and by directives of the 3rd edition of the Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials (BRC / IoP).
